In the second quarter of 2023, the top five communication apps in Ukraine showcased diverse performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides interesting insights into the app market dynamics in this region.

Telegram saw consistent weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $90K in the first week of May. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of around 116K in mid-June. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 12.9M throughout the quarter.

Skype experienced steady revenue, reaching nearly $8K in early June. However, downloads showed a decline, dropping from 7.7K in late March to approximately 5K by the end of June. Active users also saw a downward trend, decreasing from 363K to around 255K over the quarter.

Rakuten Viber Messenger maintained stable revenue, averaging between $7K and $8K weekly. Downloads peaked at about 70K in mid-April but saw a dip to around 54K by late June. Active users remained strong, though there was a slight decline from 10.1M to 9.4M.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out showed stable revenue, with weekly figures around $4.5K to $5K. Downloads decreased from 29K in late March to approximately 21K by the end of June. Active users remained robust, increasing slightly from 2.8M to nearly 2.95M.

Yolla: International Calling had modest revenue, peaking at about $2.9K in mid-April. Downloads saw a significant drop, from 5K in late March to around 2.4K by the end of June. Active users also declined, from 6.6K to approximately 4.5K during the same period.
